1. About FisherLoop

FisherLoop is an interactive language learning platform that provides audiobooks with synchronized audio, vocabulary tracking, and spaced repetition flashcards. Our service helps users learn multiple languages through engaging stories and interactive features.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using FisherLoop, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

3. Service Description

FisherLoop offers:

• Interactive audiobooks in multiple languages (German, Spanish, Italian, French, Swedish, English, Norwegian, Polish, Hungarian, Dutch, Portuguese, Ukrainian)
• Synchronized audio playback with text highlighting
• Vocabulary tracking and translation features
• Spaced repetition flashcard system using FSRS algorithm
• Progress tracking and learning analytics
• Free access to 3 audiobooks for new users
• Premium subscriptions for unlimited access

4. User Accounts

To access our services, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and current information
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble our software
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use automated systems to access our service without permission
• Violate any laws or regulations in your jurisdiction

6. Intellectual Property

All content on FisherLoop, including audiobooks, text, audio recordings, software, and learning materials, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may use our content solely for personal, non-commercial language learning purposes.

7. Subscription and Payments

Premium subscriptions are processed through Paddle as our payment processor and reseller. By subscribing, you agree to:

• Pay all applicable fees and taxes
• Automatic renewal unless cancelled
• Paddle's Buyer Terms, which can be found at https://www.paddle.com/legal/invoiced-consumer-terms
• Our cancellation and refund policies as outlined below

When you receive your first invoice from Paddle, you will be asked to accept Paddle's Terms & Conditions as the reseller of our products. This is required for payment processing.

Access Periods

For billing and access purposes, access periods are calculated as follows:

• 1 month = 30 days access
• 3 months = 90 days access
• 6 months = 180 days access
• 12 months = 360 days access
• 24 months = 720 days access

Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee for all new premium subscriptions. If you are not satisfied with our service within the first 30 days of your initial subscription, you may request a full refund by contacting us at arne@fisherloop.com.

Refund eligibility requirements:

• Request must be made within 30 days of your initial subscription purchase
• Applies only to first-time subscribers
• Refunds for subscription renewals are not available
• Account must not have violated our terms of service

Approved refunds will be processed through Paddle and may take 5-10 business days to appear in your original payment method.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

We collect and process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our service, you consent to our data practices as described in our Privacy Policy. Email communications are processed through Brevo in accordance with their terms of service.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high service availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our service with reasonable notice.

10. Limitation of Liability

FisherLoop is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our service.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may terminate your account by contacting us or through your account settings.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or service notifications.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Germany, where FisherLoop is operated. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in Germany.
